Anchor Charts

Grab your scented Mr. Sketch Markers, your Flair Pens, and your crayons for anchor chart time! One of my favorite things to do was make anchor charts for my classroom. I honestly spent way too much time trying to make them perfect but an anchor chart can be as easy as simple illustrations and words to demonstrate any learning concept. These posters are great tools to keep in the classroom for children to circle back to when recalling past lessons.

This is a cute way to introduce and reinforce spacing. I used this as a lesson within our writers' workshop. I cut out little paper meatballs and gave the kiddos pieces of yellow yarn for the spaghetti. This way they won't actually draw the meatballs and spaghetti within their writing. Now, we have moved on to just using our finger as the meatball spaces.
