Prof. Dr. Muhammad
A. Butt is a Professor at the Politechnika Warszawska, Warsaw, Poland.
He received a Ph.D. degree in Material Sciences from Universitat Rovira i
Virgili, Spain, in 2015. In 2013, he had a research stay with the
Optoelectronic Research Centre (ORC), University of Southampton, U.K. In 2018,
he was a Research Assistant Professor at Nicolaus Copernicus University,
Poland. From 2015 to 2020, he worked as a Senior Scientist at Samara National
Research University, Russia. He has authored 170+ scientific
publications and several book chapters. He received a Rector’s Award in 2022
for his scientific contribution to the Warsaw University of Technology. His
research interests are optical waveguides, plasmonic sensors, photonic sensors,
diffractive optics, and optical filters.
