Abstract
In this study, some mechanical and physical properties of Olea europaea grown in Kahramanmaraș, Turkey were determined. Physical properties, such as air-dried density, oven-dried density, volumetric shrinkage, swelling and mechanical properties, such as compression strength, impact bending strength, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity were determined. According to the test results, the air-dried density of 0.86 g/cm3, oven-dried density of 0.76 g/cm3, volumetric shrinkage of 9.7%, volumetric swelling of 10.2%, compression strength of 53.17 N/mm2, impact bending strength 0.30 kgm/cm2, modulus of rupture of 64.39 N/mm2 and modulus of elasticity of 4444 N/mm2 were found.
