The Kuroshio in the East China Sea (ECS) is an important part of Kuroshio. Its variation is
responsible for sea conditions, determines to a large extent the location of fishing grounds,
affects the movement of polluting substances, and causes drought or excessive rain in the

The Kuroshio in the East China Sea (ECS) is an important part of Kuroshio. Its variation is responsible for sea conditions, determines to a large extent the location of fishing grounds, affects the movement of polluting substances, and causes drought or excessive rain in the eastern ECS, and forms the large meander in the seas south of Japan.
Spatial-temporal variations of the Kuroshio are mainly in velocity and transport, and the swing and meander of the axis. In this study, the structure of the velocity, the transport and the path of the Kuroshio in the ECS were analyzed according to historical data from Japanese observations and data from the China-Japan Joint Research Program on the Kuroshio.
