Bandwidth enhancement of meshed patch antennas through proximity coupling
This letter presents an impedance bandwidth enhancement method for optically transparent
meshed patch antennas using a coplanar proximity feed. The antenna design is potentially
compatible with solar panel integration. The proposed antenna consists of three meshed
patch elements with slightly different sizes, resulting in an improved impedance bandwidth
that is approximately 2.5 times as wide as that of a single-element meshed patch antenna.
