Capricorne is the co-founder of the Curacao Art Academy (founded in 1969). In the documentary we see him, relatives and collectors looking back at Capricorne's career. Caribbean identity plays a big part in his work. Did he succeed in helping his people emancipate through art, as was his ideal? Also, images of Brazil show the artistic and social impact of Rio de Janeiro on the work of Capricorne. Being 80 years old, the artist himself still works in his atelier in Nijmegen (Holland).
