Twenty years ago Kill Spin was the slickest, most popular tournament quality ping pong hall in America. It was packed all the time -- it was mainstream. Today, it has lost its luster. It hasn't been kept up over the years and there isn't even a sign outside the building. The clientele now are mostly die hard ping pong players that don't fit in with the rest of society. Just as the game of ping pong hasn't received much respect neither have they. Players come to Kill Spin to feel welcome. It's like Cheers, "where everybody knows your game." For some, Kill Spin is a second home. But for the legendary former world champion and owner, Leapin' Leon Schwyhart, this is his only home... he hasn't left the building in almost twenty years.
