'Cucumber Man' starts so quietly you may think the sound is off, and depicts a life so without incident that the advent of a special cucumber is something even more interesting than what's on TV. However the noise, weirdness and paranoia quickly escalate to crisis levels. With the sound design of David Lynch and the visual effects of early Terry Gilliam, this film struggles with categorisation. One part horror, one part fantasy, one part comedy, ten parts cucumber.
