A victim of an auto accident has a skull fracture that needs consent from his wife, whom Dixie discusses with, but it turns out that he has two wives. One of the Rampart nurses starts spreading rumors about Dr. Morton's financial situation, and Dixie confronts the nurse about spreading gossip. A child is brought in with cyanide poisoning from eating peach pits. Roy tries to get John to enter the Fireman's Olympics' track events.
