Travalling between Quebec and France, past and present, dream and reality, Langlois climbs the family tree and breathes life into long-dead relatives. Using archival photos, re-enactment and documentary footage, Langlois in a way fathers his own child, a powerful, mature film that commemorates lives lived and strengthens his link both to his own family and to the family of man.
