A gang of crooks learns of Rockingchair's intended visit and plot to rob him. They construct an infernal machine. This is placed in a suitcase. In the meantime Ike and Louise elope. At the railroad station the crooks, the lovers, and Rockingchair come together. By mistake Ike gets the suitcase containing the infernal machine. To elude pursuers, Ike and Louise secure seats on top of the coach. Rockingchair and Louise's parents are within, but ignorant of the couple's presence. The crooks hold up the coach and command all passengers to throw their valuables to the ground. Ike is hasty in pitching his suitcase down. There is an explosion. The coach, horses, passengers, robbers, and a portion of the landscape is thrown sky-high. Louise is the first to reach the ground. Ike himself is deposited at her side. The lovers wait for the arrival of the other members of the party. They fail to appear. Written by
