It is at Vasai that they will find Kamlakar Varde, who will agree to get married to Krishna for the agreed dowry of 5000 Rupees plus expenses. While Kamlakar and Krishna have both fallen in love, Apte must deal with selling his house, belongings, jewelery, etc. to pay for the dowry, as well as try and meet new demands of the groom, his father and their relatives.
