Her dream is encouraged by her best friend, Ernesto, (Tito Novaro), who also happens to be a gifted composer. While working towards her career goal, Amalia meets the ultimate "bad-boy", a dashing gangster named Luis, (Victor Junco). She is quickly swept off her feet and falls in love with him. Unfortunately, Luis has a jealous streak and a rather possessive personality, especially when it comes to women. He also has a prior girlfriend named Celia, (Yadira Jimenez). Celia also happens to share similar traits with Luis and is filled with jealous rage toward Amelia. So much so that she causes her rival in love to have an accident which leaves Amalia's face horribly scarred-so much so that she must now wear a mask in public. Filled with shame and fear of rejection, she decides to leave Luis without explanation or saying farewell, Her actions anger her former lover, who thinks she left him for better career opportunities. So, he decides to kill poor disfigured Amalia. See less
