Their two children, hunting for candy, incidentally knock down their mother's handbag, which is opened by the fall. A slip of paper, bearing the message: "We will leave together tomorrow morning," written by Paul to John's wife, is picked up by him. He is terribly distressed at his wife's actions, but patiently awaits the outcome. Paul is caught by John taking money from the safe, and is unceremoniously dragged to his home. The men are interrupted by a knock at the door, and John pushes Paul into a closet. The visitor is Mrs. Barlow, who, becoming impatient tor Paul, goes to her home. She is reprimanded by her husband, and is overcome with shame at the sight of Paul. John, who loves his wife dearly, forgives her. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
