However his old school tough love approach soon catches up to him when he gets caught on camera whooping a student with a belt, causing him to lose his job. Isaac struggles to find another teaching job eventually losing his house and is forced to move back home with his mother. To make things worse his Fiancé leaves him for his rich successful brother who always comes over simply to brag and rub in the fact that he is the successful one and that Isaac is the failure. Isaac soon gets a second chance at education, when he takes on a temporary part time job as a substitute teacher at a local inner city high school. Isaac has difficulty adjusting to this new work environment at first thanks to his new disrespectful students. To add to his plight, Isaac is also constantly being harassed by the School's principle, who uses her power and the fact that she knows about Isaac's past to try to blackmail him. Isaac falls for a beautiful teacher, who does not give him any time or attention. Isaac tries to gain the trust of his students but quickly learns that his students do not receive or respect his African values. Some of his new students include a pregnant Teen who constantly argues with her boyfriend, the football star that never works because he feels entitled, and a "wanna be" hustle man that operates a bartering and trade business out of the back of the classroom.
