The following day, Philando Castile was shot dead by Minnesota police during a routine traffic stop. The first shooting was filmed by a bystander, a member of the public, and the aftermath of the second by Diamond Reynolds, a passenger in Castile's car. Reaction to both these shootings ranged from the usual black activist twaddle to "they deserved it" at the other end of the political spectrum. While acknowledging that the American police are out of control, this short documentary rejects both these narratives, and proposes a simple remedy to discourage the depraved indifference of these so-called public servants from shooting first and asking questions as an afterthought.
