Vega's library finally yields the answer: it must be the work of a cyclops, whose single eye sucks a person's sole, leaving him as an empty, sleeping shell. The cyclops however walks around morphed into a human. There are two suspect newcomers, new neighbor boy Tim and the slick sunglasses salesman.
