Until she comes across Alex, a twenty year old in search of adventures and a form of meaning in his life. Rosa will lead and guide him through her world, and together they will try to find a balance between their seclusive underground life and the harsh reality of the surface, on which they depend. Rosa Underground is one the first professional fiction short shot in the quarries under Paris, the « catacombs ». Inspired by the life of French poet Jean Genet, it wishes to tell a modern urban tale about two thiefs and the passion which drives them. Being able to film in such an environment was a real challenge, an adventure blending film making, urban exploration and street art. The participation of legendary French actor Denis Lavant contributes as well to the particular underground mood created by the film. See less
