But when employees receive almost all the evidence of illegal privatization, deputat Voronov's assistant, Viktor Mokhov, is found dead on the river bank. Investigator of the General Prosecutor's Office Alexander Turetsky was instructed to conduct an investigation. First of all, he meets with the head of the Itex concern, who considers the murder a provocation. The company is ready to contribute in every possible way to the search for the offender and even pay a reward for assistance in solving the crime. At this moment, a witness appears in the case - Voronov's driver. By phone, he informs about the pistol stored at the deputat's dacha.
