      George Benjamin Starbuck (1866-1931) — also known as George B. Starbuck — of Utica, Oneida County, N.Y. Born in Troy, Rensselaer County, N.Y., August 24, 1866. Bookkeeper; U.S. Vice Consul in Cienfuegos, 1915-29. Died in Cienfuegos, Cuba, August 5, 1931 (age 64 years, 346 days). Interment at Tomas Acea Cemetery.
      Relatives: Son of George H. Starbuck and Emeline (Watson) Starbuck; married to Carolina Aguero; third cousin of Wharton Barker.
      Political families: Kellogg-Adams-Seymour-Chapin family of Connecticut and New York; Bache-Dallas family of Pennsylvania and New York (subsets of the Four Thousand Related Politicians).

      Harrison Eugene Havens (1837-1916) — also known as Harrison E. Havens — of Springfield, Greene County, Mo. Born in Franklin County, Ohio, December 15, 1837. Republican. U.S. Representative from Missouri, 1871-75 (4th District 1871-73, 6th District 1873-75); defeated, 1876; delegate to Republican National Convention from Missouri, 1884. Died in Havana (La Habana), Cuba, August 16, 1916 (age 78 years, 245 days). Interment at Colon Cemetery.

      Frank Maxmillian Steinhart (1864-1938) — also known as Frank Steinhart — of Havana (La Habana), Cuba. Born in Munich (München), Germany, May 12, 1864. Republican. U.S. Consul General in Havana, 1903-07; president and general manager, Havana Electric Railways, Light and Power Company. Died in 1938 (age about 74 years). Entombed at Necropolis Cristobal Colon.
      Relatives: Son of Simon Steinhart and Regina (Levinger) Steinhart; married, February 8, 1890, to Alice Florence Ledden.

      Joseph Marion Hernández (1788-1857) — of Florida. Born in St. Augustine, St. Johns County, Fla., May 26, 1788. Delegate to U.S. Congress from Florida Territory, 1822-23; member of Florida territorial House of Representatives, 1820. Slaveowner. Died in Cuba, June 8, 1857 (age 69 years, 13 days). Entombed at San Carlos Cemetery.

    The Political Graveyard

    The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
     
      The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.  
      The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
