Description

I wonder if we can make per-page read protection possible. It can be enabled by adding checkPageRestrictions in the $checks array in Title.php (at around line 2451) and adding read to $wgRestrictionTypes. This seems to work fine on my local wiki and I'm thinking of making it a core thing. Have there been any discussions on this, and what do you think?

zhaofengli set Security to None.

Very difficult, see T3924: Restricted read access for subset of wiki and https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Security_issues_with_authorization_extensions. Probably we can fix it in MediaWiki 2.0 (T72000).

The Extension SimpleSecurity could do this, but it is unstable at the moment.
