Hi, A lot of times how I know that the sauce is ready. You can wait the 30 minutes or you're able to cut the carrot in half with a spoon. That to me is like a it's totally done. Oh a little bit. We take the carrot out and I also fish out all of the garlic. The parmind. The stem of the basil I take out. But the basil leaves I laid them in. All of my sauce is chunkier. That's how I grew up.
