An interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach

The programme offers training in fundamental legal disciplines with an additional information and legal component. Our students graduate with universal and highly specialized competencies and the required skills to apply new technologies in their professional activities.

The teaching is practice-oriented and includes input from practicing lawyers. Students will acquire general and specialised competencies necessary for legal work and gain experience working with the programme’s partner companies.

There is a particular focus on developing practical skills for performing procedural actions, analysing cases of non-standard applications of the law, developing various kinds of solutions, and drawing up expert opinions.

English-taught courses

The Master's programme includes English-taught courses. Profession-oriented language training ensures that graduates remain competitive in the Russian and international labour markets and have greater opportunities for professional fulfilment.

A degree from a leading Russian university

Graduates of all HSE campuses receive the same HSE diploma. Master’s students also receive a European Diploma Supplement containing information about their education, their final grades on a 10-point scale, and a conversion of their final grades to the European ECTS grading system. The document is provided in both English and Russian and allows students to continue their education or work in Bologna Process member countries (48 countries) without a legal translation of their diploma.

Academic mobility

Students from Perm have the opportunity to study for free at HSE University’s other campuses in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Students are provided with dormitory accommodation for the duration of their stay in another city.

Graduates of the programme have a wide range of relevant professional competencies and skills suitable for numerous roles.

The Master's in Legal Support of Entrepreneurial Activity offers 15 state-funded places and 3 fee-paying places for international applicants.

Applicants can enrol in the programme based on the results of a written civil law exam consisting of a test and two case studies.
