Summary
Sanni Yaya is an Associate Professor of Economics and Global Health at the School of International Development and Global Studies where he teaches courses on International Development Issues, International Development Programming and International Project Management. He is the Editor of the Innovation Journal, and currently leads a series on Society and Health at the University of Ottawa Press. Professor Yaya was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Yale University, and a Senior Visiting Scholar at New York University (NYU). He has experience in the design and implementation of randomized controlled trials and observational epidemiologic studies of maternal and child health, infectious diseases and chronic diseases. Dr Yaya has published 18 books and numerous book chapters and technical reports. His research articles have appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals, including The Lancet, Health Policy and The International Journal of Medicine (Oxford University Press). As well, Professor Yaya has been a senior advisor to several health intervention programs and international developments projects funded by WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, The World Bank, private foundations, and many governments.
