SEAL Team Series Finale: How It Ended and What Happened to Bravo Team

Bravo team's days of embarking on dangerous, far-flung missions have come to an end.

Following on the heels of the penultimate episode, which saw Ray (Neil Brown Jr.), Omar (Raffi Barsoumian), Sonny (A.J. Buckley), Brock (Justin Melnick) and Trent (Tyler Grey) capture Ramon Nazario (Gabriel Rodriguez), Jason (David Boreanaz) and Drew (Beau Knapp) set out to track down and kill Ross Curtis (Mac Brandt), a green beret and traitor.

When Jason and Drew find Ross, they hold him at gunpoint, but Jason has second thoughts and decides not to kill him, muttering  “You’re not f------ worth it.” But as Jason walks away, Drew shoots Ross in the head, explaining to Jason, “Traitorous f--- tried to kill my teammates. Besides, letting him go would have ended your career.”

Bravo team is on a plane afterward when Jason explains why he didn’t shoot Ross. “It just felt wrong killing a man who’s just as contaminated by this war as I am,” he says.

Jason returns home to find Emma (Kerri Medders) trying on a wedding gown with Mandy (Jessica Paré); Emma, as it turns out, decided to move up her wedding to Brad (Brandon Butler). Ray, meanwhile, expresses regrets to Naima (Parisa Fakhri) about Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot), who was shot and killed in season 6. “The Spenser House is tainted for me,” Ray says solemnly.

Sonny spends his time cleaning Clay’s gravestone chatting with Stella (Alona Tal), who accidentally reveals that Davis (Toni Trucks) accepted a new role that requires a move to Washington, D.C. — a decision that motivates Sonny to do some soul-searching of his own.

In Jason's garage, he and Mandy have a heated discussion in which Mandy says he needs to forgive himself for the people he’s killed — "The people that need to forgive me are dead,” he replies — before Jason gets a call from command. Bravo is assigned on one more mission to Afghanistan, where they will locate a former high-ranking Taliban official, who was exiled for siding with the Northern Alliance.

Before Bravo team departs, Jason speaks with Ray wondering if Curtis could have “atoned” for his deeds. Jason is really asking on his own behalf and whether he can somehow make up for the people he's killed in the past. However, Ray suggests atonement could help Jason find peace.

In Afghanistan, Jason, Ray and Sonny visit a village where they pay a resident cash to show them where the family of someone Jason once killed now lives. The wife ultimately forgives Jason for his actions.

While the trio are driving away, they encounter enemy fire and find themselves scrambling for survival. They obviously survive, as the episode afterward cuts to Emma’s wedding, where Jason walks her down the aisle. During the reception, he dances with Mandy, while Sonny and Davis discuss her new gig.

Naima, meanwhile, tells Ray that he should be celebrating the success of Bravo team's latest mission. She also explains that running the Spenser House and helping veterans has, in turn, helped her find a purpose “greater than anything I’ve ever done.” She adds, “All I want is for you is to find that same feeling, regardless of where you find it.”

Also at the reception, Sonny reveals to Stella that he named Clay as co-inventor of a new medical kit Sonny developed so that half of the profits go to Clay’s family — a move that leaves Stella teary-eyed.

“The point of the medkit was to help my brothers and sisters in uniform,” Sonny adds, before the two hug.

During a montage, Davis meets with command about her new role and Ray visits the Spenser House and convinces Ben (Joey Pollari) to stay. As Jason grills by the water and plays with his dog, Mandy approaches with beers in hand.

“Whether it’s on or off the battlefield, we need to have each other’s backs,” Jason says via voiceover, adding, “We must renew our desire to live well, never lose hope, find meaning at home and prove once and for all that war doesn’t have to have the last word."

In the next scene, Bravo team is at a bar knocking back beers and trading jokes when Jason offers his teammate a toast. “We may no longer be teammates, but we’re always going to be brothers,” he says before they clink their drinks.

Sonny later tells Davis he’s ready to leave Bravo behind to support her in following her dreams. They then drive to Washington, D.C. together, holding hands in the car. Ray, meanwhile, takes a new role in the military's office of warfighter health.

The finale wraps with one final epic shot of Bravo team together, embarking on a mission as a helicopter takes off behind them.
