Abstract
Devices, systems and methods for using a contactless or contact auxiliary device connected to a contactless or contact smart-card reader. The contactless auxiliary device may include a first antenna for communicating with the contactless smart-card reader using a smart-card channel, a second antenna for communicating with a mobile device using a non-smart-card channel and a processor for converting data received over one channel for transmission over the other channel to emulate a contactless smart-card. The contact auxiliary device may include a contact surface to connect with a contact surface of the smart-card reader, an antenna or transmitter for communicating with a mobile device using a non-smart-card channel, and a processor for converting data received from the mobile device using the non-smart-card channel to data transmitted to the contact smart-card reader over the contact smart-card channel to emulate a contact smart-card.
