Abstract

The invention relates to a device (10, 110) for converting energy, comprising a closed system, in which a working medium (16, 116) is arranged, wherein the system comprises a first container (12, 112) and a second container (14, 114) connected by a connecting line (20, 120) that has at least a first line section (21, 121), a second line section (22, 122) and a third line section (23, 123), wherein the first line section (21, 121) and the third line section (23, 123) form a heat exchanger (30, 130) and are guided next to each other in such a way that the working medium (16, 116) in the first line section (21, 121) and the third line section (23, 123) flows in opposite directions in the heat exchanger (30, 130), and wherein a turbine (40, 140) or a piston engine is arranged in the second line section (22, 122).
