Abstract

 素子の発光効率を改善し、駆動安定性を充分に確保し、かつ簡略な構成をもつ有機電界発光素子(有機EL素子)及びそれに使用する有機EL素子用化合物を提供する。  この有機EL素子用化合物は分子中にインドロカルバゾール構造又はその類似構造を有し、インドロカルバゾールの窒素原子に芳香族基が結合した構造を有する。また、この有機EL素子は、基板上に積層された陽極と陰極の間に、発光層を有する有機電界発光素子であって、該発光層が、燐光発光性ドーパントと上記有機電界発光素子用化合物をホスト材料として含有する。
