In this way the first ply V1 is provided with a colored background pattern, which does not coincide with background micro-embossing.

This depends for example on the absorption capacity of the base material, typically tissue paper, on the dimension and density of the micro-embossing protuberances, on the quantity of ink applied. This allows the operator a further margin of freedom in the choice of the material to be produced by means of specific selection of these parameters.
