Definitions
- the present invention relates to a closure device for a container of liquid product.
- These devices conventionally comprise, on the one hand, a lower element provided with an internal product dispensing neck and an external lateral skirt for fixing on the neck of the container and, on the other hand, an attached upper element provided with means for closing said neck and intended to be connected to said lower element via a joint equipped with a connecting member.
- these devices do not make it possible to obtain an external outcrop of the connecting member with the wall of the skirt so that the two-piece configuration remains apparent, which is detrimental to the aesthetic appearance.
- the connecting members used in these devices are anchored on the upper part of the lower element and therefore do not adapt satisfactorily to the joints of the type comprising several deformable arms in bi-stable position.
- the object of the present invention is to solve these technical problems by seeking a connecting member compatible both with the functional constraints of the joint and the aesthetic requirements of the entire device.
- a closure device characterized in that said connecting member consists of a tongue carrying on its front face a stopper capable of engaging and being lock in a lumen formed between the respective walls of the external side skirt and the internal neck.
- said articulation consists of a hinge comprising a central arm and two lateral arms at least partially elastically deformable.
- the central arm is connected to the middle part of said tongue while the lateral arms are connected to its upper part.
- said lumen is delimited upwards by a projecting edge of the wall of the skirt intended to cooperate with the catch of the connecting member.
- said projecting edge is offset radially inwards relative to the wall of the skirt.
- said projecting edge has a bevelled edge facilitating the engagement of the stop notch of the connecting member.
- said lumen is delimited laterally and downwards by a slot formed on the wall of the skirt and the dimensions of which correspond substantially to those of the tongue, so that said tongue extends in the position of assembly, in the flush extension of the outer wall of the skirt.
- the respective walls of the external skirt and the internal neck are connected by a shoulder situated above the level of the lumen.
- said tongue comprises on its dorsal face above the middle part, a constriction intended to receive at least part of the joint in the closed position.
- said tongue consists of a portion of cylindrical wall.
- the closure device of the invention is very ergonomic and consists of two independent parts which, once assembled by integration of the connecting member, give the device an appearance identical to that of the devices produced in one piece.
- the advantage of the two-piece embodiment lies mainly in the simplicity of the tools intended for manufacturing and in particular of the molds.
- FIG. 1A represents a perspective view of an embodiment of the upper element of the device of the invention
- FIG. 1B shows a perspective view of an embodiment of the lower element of the device of the invention
- FIG. 2A shows a detail view in section along IIA of the embodiment of the upper element of Figure 1A
- - Figure 2B shows a sectional view along IIB of the embodiment of the lower element of Figure 1B;
- FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of the embodiment of the preceding figures after assembly of the upper and lower elements and in the closed position;
- FIG. 4 shows a sectional view of the embodiment of the device of Figure 3 in the open position.
- the closure device of the invention comprises an upper element 1 (FIG. 1A) and a lower element 2 (FIG. 1B) intended to be assembled with one another.
- the lower element 2 is provided with an internal neck 20 for dispensing the liquid product and with an external side skirt 21 for fixing, here by snap-fastening, to the neck of a container (not shown).
- the lower element 2 is also provided with a ring 27 intended to allow pulling out of a protective veil 23.
- the neck 20 is here produced on only part of the periphery of the lower element 2.
- the front part of the skirt 21 is provided with a groove 26 to facilitate gripping of the upper element 1 which is in turn provided with a tab 15 projecting above the groove 26, in the closed position of the device.
- the lower element is also provided with a tamper-evident band (not shown) at least partially peripheral and attached to the upper part of the skirt 21 by bridges which can be broken when trimming the band.
- a tamper-evident band (not shown) at least partially peripheral and attached to the upper part of the skirt 21 by bridges which can be broken when trimming the band.
- the tamper-evident band has the function of trapping the lower edge of the upper element 1, thus temporarily securing the upper 1 and lower 2 elements to guarantee the integrity of the container.
- the upper element 1 is provided with means for closing the neck 20 and is intended to be connected to the lower element 2 via a hinge 11 equipped with a connecting member 12 made in one piece with said element, by example by injection molding.
- the sealing means consist of a capsule 10 with a bottom 10a and a substantially cylindrical side wall 10b whose dimensions are adapted to that of the neck 20 to allow a tight fitting.
- the capsule 10 is bordered coaxially with a crown 13, the external lateral face of which is provided with grooves 13a which facilitate gripping.
- the capsule 10 is locked in the closed position by means of a rod 14 intended to be housed in an internal peripheral groove 24 of corresponding profile formed on the neck 20.
- the connecting member 12 consists of a tongue 12a carrying on its front face a catch 12b capable of engaging and locking in a slot 22 formed between the respective walls of the skirt 21 and the neck 20
- the tongue 12a here consists of a portion of cylindrical wall because the general shape of the device corresponds to a cylinder of revolution.
- the articulation 11 consists of a hinge comprising a central arm 11a and two lateral arms 11b, 11.
- the arms 11a, 11b, 11e are at least partially elastically deformable and are capable of taking two stable extreme positions corresponding respectively to the open and closed positions of the device.
- the central arm 11a is connected to the middle part of the tongue 12a by a first elastically deformable zone while the side arms 11b, lie are connected to the upper part of said tongue.
- the deployment of the arms 11a, 11b, 11e takes place from a fallback position corresponding to the closing of the device as shown in FIG. 3 to a position of extension corresponding to the opening of the device by disengagement of the upper element 1 and release of the neck 10 as shown in FIG. 4.
- the central arm 11a has two rigid rectilinear sections joined by a flexible elbow 110.
- the distal section of the central arm is connected directly to the capsule 10 by a second elastically deformable zone and its length corresponds to the distance separating the crown 13 from the side wall 10b of the capsule 10.
- the central arm 11a is perfectly integrated into the upper element 1 without creating any discontinuity.
- the tongue 12a comprises, on its dorsal face, above the central part of connection to the central arm, a constriction 120 intended to receive, in the closed position, the proximal section of said arm 11a flush and therefore without creating discontinuity.
- the lateral arms 11b, lie are identical and symmetrical.
- the distal section of the lateral arms is against the side wall of the crown 13, while the proximal section is against the dorsal face of the tongue 12a.
- the light 22 receiving the connecting member 12 is bounded upward by a projecting edge 21b formed on the wall of the skirt 21 and intended to cooperate with the stop notch 12b of the connecting member.
- the projecting edge 21b is offset radially inwards relative to the wall of the skirt 21 and has a bevelled edge to facilitate the introduction of the notch 12b.
- the light 22 is delimited laterally and downward by a slot 21a formed on the wall of the skirt 21 and whose dimensions correspond substantially to those of the tongue 12a.
- the tongue 12a extends in the position of assembly of the upper 1 and lower 2 elements, in the flush extension of the external wall of the skirt 21.
- the respective walls of the external skirt 21 and the internal neck 20 are connected by a shoulder 25 disposed above the level of the lumen 22 and extending peripherally.
