Be it known that I, CHARLES ROBINSON, oi`l Oainbridgeport, in the county of Middlesex und State of Massachusetts, have originated and produceda Design i'or a Toy Arrow Holder sind Guide; and I do hereby declare that the Inlowing is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification- Figure 1 being a side view of the arrow guide and holder according to my new and original design; Fig. 2, a front view of' the same 5 Fig. 3, a side View of the saine, slightly changed in i'orni, but not in the essential design Fig. 4, a front View thereof.
Like letters designate corresponding parts in all the figures.
The upper part A of the arrow-holder is enlarged, and rounded nearly in the forni of an oblate splieroid. The ,handle part B beneath is continued downward from the part A, first by a concave outline, a, and ends in a rounded, or nearly spherical, termination, b.
This arrow-holder is provided with two knobs or bosses., c c, near together, and between Which the arrow is held and guided. This is as shown in Figs. 1 and 2.
Instead of these knobs or bosses, which forni no part of the design claimed, simple rounded notches are sometimes used, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4.
An elastic cord, C, for propelling the arrow, completes the instrument. Its ends are attached to the holder as shown, or otherwise, without changing the desigii.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for an arrow holder and guide, composed essentially of the upper part A, having the forni of an obl-ate spheroid, and the concave and rounded lower part B, substantially as described, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
