A shaver comprising a shear member having a curved shaving section of substantially thin cross section joined at opposite sides to the sides of the base of said member and formed with a plurality of perforations to provide a plurality of cutting edges on said section about the margin of said perforations, an inner cutter mounted to have cutting edges formed thereon engage the inner surface of said shaving section for cutting cooperation with the cutting edges thereof in the movement of said inner cutter over the inner surface of said shaving section, a plurality of projections extending laterally in spaced parallel relation from one side of said shear member having the opposite ends free and forming open ended slots therebetween, said projections lying in the same plane and the plane of said projections extending ininclined relation toward said base to the plane of the adjacent side wall of said shear member to form a retaining groove, an

A shaver comprising a shear member having a base and a. curvedshaving section extending outwardly from saidbase and formed with a plurality of perforations to provide a plurality of cutting edges on said section about the margins of said perforations, an inner cutter mounted to have cutting edges formed thereon engage the inner surface of said shaving section for cutting cooperation with the cutting edges thereof in the movement of said inner cutter over the inner surface of said shaving section, a plurality of pro jections extending laterally in spaced parallel relation from one side of said shear member, having the opposite ends free and forming open ended slots therebetween, saidprojections lying in the same plane and extending toward said base-in inclined relation to the plane of the adjacent side wall of said shear member to form a retaining groove, an auxiliary cutter guided in said groove by said projections and having the portion engaging said projections formed to provide a plurality of spaced parallel cutter bars formed for cutting cooperation with said projections in the reciprocation of said auxiliary cutter, and means foractuating said inner and auxiliary cutters simultaneously having a lever engaging said auxiliary cutter operable to transmit reciprocating motion thereto to produce the cutting operation of said auxiliary cutter and resilient means mounted thereon and engaging said auxiliary cutter i'or normally retaining said auxiliary cutter in operative cutting relation in said retaining groove against detachment.
