Figure 3 illustrates a further carrying forward of the invention wherein the openings D are not only provided in the toe and body portion of the hose but also in the heel.
Figure 4` illustrates the format-ion of the knitted openings not only in the entire body portion of` he foot ,but `also in the leg portion as indicated 'at `D, thesame being preferably located near the top of the hose beneath the portion that turns down so as. to ventilate the portion of the hose sur- 'e rounding the calf of the leg. All oi'theopenings D and D', regardless of their location are formed durin the process of knitting the hose, as indicated in Figure 5. l.
From the foregoing it will be apparent that the present inventlon alms to provide a knitted hose having Ventilating openingsI at. various points for the purpose of ventilating the foot and leg ortions of the wearer to avoid undue perspiration of the covered parts.
