A further object is the provision of such a device of few parts, of simple construction,-
and capable of being manufactured at a reasonable cost is thus rendered commercially desirable.
To the accomplishment of these and related objects my invention resides in the construction, combination and arrangement of the various cooperating elements, as shall be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings, and pointed out in the claims hereunto appended.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a wall tent supported by an embodiment of this invention,

This invention aims to provide a collapsible and hence readily portable and assembled tent frame that will prove of inestimable value to hunters, prospectors, tourists, and other campers because of the readiness Wltll' which it may be erected and disassembled, and the convenience with which it may be transported from one place to another. The wall tent frame comprises a pair of end sockets to support the ridge pole. These sockets being of a multiple nature including a pair of downwardly inclined sockets to receive the corner posts and having an arcuate neck, formed integral with the other socket parts extending from the apex of the member, adapted to receive an end brace pole, a shield is placed about this socket having an opening to extend about the brace neck socket. The bell tent frame is relatively simpler comprising a peak member ineluding a plurality of substantially similar 20,356, and in Canada October 24, 1924.
downwardly extending angular sockets to receive the poles the tip or point of this socket receives the tent covering guard that straddies the flaring tent pole sockets. The tent covering in both instances, increases the strength of the structure.
Referring particularly to the drawings, wherein like characters of reference designate like parts throughout the several views, the letter a indicates the upstanding corner posts of a wall tent the bottoms of which are pointed to penetrate the ground or fashioned as or to receive pedal member. These posts are perpendicular only to the upper edge of the tent wall and then converge to enter the V formed arms of the socket b which is provided with the lateral socket extending arm 0 to receive the ridge pole d. An arcuate neck socket 6 extends outwardly from the common apex of the three aforesaid sockets and is adapted to receive the inclined end braces f. A tent guard or shield 9 having a perforation through which the neck socket .6 passes is mounted about the end of the ridge pole by straddling the socket b as shown in Figure 1.
The bell tent frame, the preferred embodiment of which is illustrated in the Figure 3, includes a number of posts or rods it that are received by the multiple socket z, the rod receiving arms of which are in regular angular or flared relation. While I have illustrated the posts as being merely frictionally engaged by the socket, it is obvious that a bayonet connection may be used and that in the cases of very large wall tents an additional support maybe provided intermediate the ends and while the poles and sockets for ordinary use will be of cast iron or the like, the poles if desired may be of wood with steel ends allowing of a lighter construction.
From the foregoing description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, it will be manifest that a tent frame is provided which will fulfill all the necessary requirements of such a device, but as many changes could be made in theabove descrip tion and many apparently widely difierent embodiments of my invention constructed within the scope of the appended claims 3 tho-at departing from the s int or scope is intended that at matters new tained in the said accompanying specification and drawings shali be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limited sense.
V] hat I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is l. A device of the character described comprising in combination with a ridge pole, corner poles and end braces, a pair of integrally formed multiple sockets each comprising a pair of corner pole receiving sockets at approximately right angles to each other. a ridge pole receiving soc :et extending laterally from the union of the corner polereceiving sockets and an arched end brace receiving sockets and an arched end brace receiving socket projecting upwardly from the common apex of the ridge pole and corner pole receiving sockets, substantially as described.
:2. In a device of the character described,
the combination with a ridge pole, corner poles and end braces, of a pair of integrally formed inuitiple sockets each comprising a pair of corner pole receiving sockets at approximately right angles to each other, a ridge pole receiving socket extending laterally from the apex'o'f the corner pole receiving sockets, an arched end brace receiving socket projecting upwardly from the common apex of the ridge pole and corner pole receiving sockets, and a tent covering guard fitted on said arched socket.
3. 1 tent frame comprising a plurality of integraliy formed anguiarly disposed sockets, one of said sockets extending in an upward direction, poles adapted for reception there by, and a substantially V-shaped tent covering guard, removably fitted on said upwardly extending socket.
