Abstract

The invention relates to an austenitic steel alloy having excellent creep strength and resistance to oxidation and corrosion at elevated use temperatures up to approximately 750 °C with a specific chemical composition, and to a seamless or welded steel tube, sheet steel or workpiece or tool steel produced by forging or casting having excellent creep strength and resistance to oxidation and corrosion, in particular at use temperatures above 620 °C, produced from such a steel alloy.
