Abstract

A power converter apparatus for obtaining a variable frequency a.c. voltage, the power converter apparatus comprising: first converter means for converting the supplied a.c. voltage to a d.c. voltage; smoothing means for smoothing the a.c. voltage from the first converter means; and second converter means for converting the output voltage of the smoothing means into an a.c. voltage; which is characterized in that: the wiring among the first converter means, the smoothing means, and the second converter means is performed on an identical insulative substrate.
