Abstract

The heating and/or air-conditioning is for motor vehicles, particularly cars, and has an air inlet union to a housing containing a heater. This is followed by a distribution chamber, with unions controlled by shutters to discharge ports aimed at the windscreen and footwell, and one in the dashboard. One at least of the unions (17', 17") to the dashboard ports in the distribution chamber (14', 14") is downstream of the other ports (15', 15") in the direction of air flow. One or more fresh air passages (21', 21") controlled by a shutter (23', 23") bypass the heater (13), and lead to a nozzle (22', 22") near the unions (17', 17") for the dashboard ports.
