Abstract

The washing machine includes a liquid detergent feeder manually operated by a push-button type feeding head. The feeder comprises independent detergent containers(100) hooked on the side wall of the washing machine, a feeding means(300) mounted on the backside panel, and a couple of hoses(200) interconnecting the detergent containers and the feeding means. The feeding means(300) comprises a housing(310) connecting the feeding hose(200) at its rear end, a cap(320) having a center hole for receiving a retainer(360), the retainer having a central bore for passing the liquid detergent, a push-button head(380) having a detergent passageway(381) and being force-fitted to the outer end of the retainer, a packing(370) inserted to the outer periphery of the inner end of the retainer, and a ball valve(330) restrained by a spring(340) with a seat piece(350).
