Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain switching connection of a line to a telephone set or a terminal equipment by detecting surely a terminal device call signal as an intermittent signal coming from the line without malfunction after the closing of a DC loop of the line. CONSTITUTION:When a 16Hz call signal comes from telephone lines L1, L2, the signal is detected by a telephone set call signal detecting means 12 and its output signal is fed to a control means 17 to form a DC loop. When a called party hooks off a handset of a telephone set 6, it is detected by a loop detection means 14 and its output signal is fed to the means 17. The means 17, based on the output signal, gives a command signal, a contact 10 is closed and the telephone lines L1, L2 are switched to the position of the telephone set 6, then telephone communication with the called party is attained in case of a telephone call from the caller.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Technical Field of the Invention] The present invention relates to a method for detecting a terminal calling signal, and in particular, when detecting a calling signal arriving via a subscriber telephone line and switching the line to a telephone or terminal device. This invention relates to a useful method for detecting a calling signal. [Prior Art] Recently, various terminal devices such as facsimile machines have been attached to subscriber telephone lines. Conventionally, for example, when a facsimile machine detects a telephone ringing signal, the line is automatically switched to the facsimile machine, and the facsimile machine takes priority and the telephone is ignored. This has caused the inconvenience that these devices cannot be used effectively due to the lines.

Subsequently, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. When the pushbutton switch 2 of the terminal call control device 1 is pressed to set the first mode selection function, that is, the at-home mode, when a 16H2 call signal arrives from the telephone lines Ll and L2, this is sent to the telephone. It is detected by the calling signal detection means 12, and its output signal is applied to the control means 17 to form a DC loop. When the called party hangs up the handset of the telephone 6, this is detected by the loop detection means 14, and its output signal is applied to the control means 17. The control means 17 issues a command signal based on this output signal, the contact 10 is activated, and the line is connected.

is switched to the telephone 6 side, so if the calling party is making a telephone call, telephone contact will be made with the called party. on the other hand,
If the calling party is a facsimile machine, 1100H2CNG
The signal arrives as an intermittent signal that is sent for 0.5 seconds, paused for 3 seconds, and sent for 0.5 seconds, and this calling signal is detected by the facsimile machine calling signal detection means 13, and its output signal is applied to the control means 17. When the called party hears this ringing signal and puts the handset on the hook, the contact point 11 is activated based on the command signal from the control means 17, and the line L1,
L2 is switched to the facsimile device 7 side, and the facsimile device 7 is further activated by the facsimile device activation command signal. From then on, the called party identification signal, i.e. 2
The message is received by sending the 100H2CED signal to the calling party and executing a known protocol. Further, the pushbutton switch 3.4 of the terminal call control device 1 is used to set the mode selection function when the user is away, etc., and when the calling party is making a telephone call, the above-mentioned first mode selection function is used. Similarly to the setting, after the DC loop is closed, the IC recording means 15 is activated and a pre-recorded response message indicating that the caller is away is sent to the calling party, and the recording means 16 is activated as necessary. It is activated to record the caller's message. On the other hand, when the calling party is a facsimile machine, a facsimile machine call signal is detected by the call signal detecting means 13, and based on this detection, contacts 10 and 11 are activated to connect the line, and I2 is automatically sent to the facsimile machine 7 side. After switching, message reception is performed in the same manner as described above, but detailed explanations of these operations will be omitted since they are not directly related to the present invention.

[Effects] As described above, according to the present invention, after the direct current loop of the line is closed, a terminal device calling signal as an intermittent signal arriving from the line is reliably detected without malfunction, and the line is switched to a telephone or terminal device. This has the excellent effect that the telephone and the terminal device can be used effectively and economically by using only one line without installing a new line.
