Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a metal strip having excellent quality by pouring molten metal into pouring basin part arranged at gap between one pair of cooling drums by a pouring nozzle having specific structure. CONSTITUTION:The pouring nozzle is formed of upper bending face (c) and lower bending face (e) and constituted by arranging a slit (f) at interval between both bending faces (c), (e) and connecting part (g), where becomes wider toward outside. Next, the molten metal is supplied into the pouring basin part 5 through the pouring nozzle arranging opening part 6 at side face. Then, heat of the molten metal is transferred to the cooling drums 4a, 4b and solidified shells are formed on the surface of the drums. The solidified shells are press-welded and integrated at the drum cap part following to rotation of the cooling drums 4a, 4b. By this method, the metal strip having high quality without defect of rough surface, cavity, etc., can be produced.
