Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the extent of productivity for a cell by packing a part or the whole part of a generating element made up of being electrically connected to each terminal surface of both positive and negative electrodes of the cell with a heat insulat ing material, and also packing it with thermoplastic resin or the like around this heat insulating material by means of a molding die. CONSTITUTION:One end of a metal plate 2 such as a nickeled stainless plate or the like is spot-welded on a negative electrode terminal surface of a flat cell 1 of a lithium cell or the like, and the other end of this metal plate 2 is connected to a lead body 4 for current takeoff use via a counterflow (charging) preventing diode 3. And, the lead body 5 is directly attached to a positive electrode terminal surface of the cell 1 by means of spot welding. And, a cell opposite surface of heat insulating moldings 6, 8 made of urethane foam resin, there are provided with recesses 6a, 8a in form corresponding to each form of the cell 1 and the diode 3, having each terminal of lead bodies 4, 5 projected, and these moldings 6 and 8 are stuck together whereby the cell 1 and the diode 3 are hermetically sealed. This joined molding is put into each cavity in a pair of injection-molded dies 9, 10 and fixed with resin 11, thus a packed cell is produced.
