Abstract
PURPOSE:To continuously execute iron making operation for iron containing raw material using holding heat of molten iron by adding the iron containing raw material into the molten iron on the molten iron trough in a blast furnace and executing melting-reduction to this raw material. CONSTITUTION:Molten slag S is separated from the molten iron M through a submerged weir 5a and a slag-off trough 6a at upstream side of the molten iron trough 2. Next, in the iron making treatment equipment 3 arranged in a staying part at downstream side, the iron containing raw material and auxiliary material are continuously charged into the molten iron M from a charging pipe 8, and carbonic material is charged as reduction agent from a chuting pipe 9, and at the same time, the hot blast is continuously blown from the blowing pipe 10. Therefore, the iron making raw material is melted and iron oxide is reduced and the molten iron M quantity is increased and also the molten slag S is floated up. This molten slag S is separated and discharged with a submerged weir 56 and the slag-off trough 6b and the generated gas is exhausted in order from the pipe passage 11. By this method, the existed equipment is used at the max. and the production of raw steel is efficiently improved.
