[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention involves first folding a continuous form sheet in half in the longitudinal direction at a portion of the width A of the sheet against the other portion of the width X, and then folding the continuous form sheet in half. While guiding in one direction, the remaining A-width portion is folded in half in the opposite direction to the folding side of the A-width, making the entire fold into an S-shape or two-shape. This invention relates to a device for folding continuous form sheets.

The gist of the present invention is to provide a guide member for guiding continuous form paper in its longitudinal direction across the width direction of the continuous form paper; A tension mechanism is interposed between the folding mechanism set at a position and applies tension to the form sheet at a position to guide the intermediate portion of the continuous form sheet that is passed between the guide member and the folding mechanism. This tension mechanism twists the middle part of the continuous form sheet being passed over it in one direction toward the folding mechanism, and twists the width of the paper by 2 degrees from the remaining width of X. It consists of a tension guide installed at an inclined position that guides the paper into folding, and when the middle part of the paper is twisted and guided in the flow direction to be folded in half, the folding width of the paper is different on the left and right sides. Even if the paper is folded, the tensile tension applied to the paper by the tension guide is made equal to each part in the paper flow direction, and furthermore, the tension applied to the paper by the tension guide is made equal to each part in the paper flow direction. The paper is continuously guided through a tension guide to fold the X-width part in half in the direction opposite to the folding side of the previous A-width part, and the continuous form paper as a whole is folded in its longitudinal direction. The present invention consists in the structure of a folding device for continuous form sheets which is folded into an S-shape or two-shape along the same direction.

In this way, the continuous form sheet A is twisted in one direction until it passes through the tension mechanism 3 and reaches the first folding mechanism 4, and the sheet A is twisted along the first fold line 5.
The K width part of the horizontal width is the second direction towards the remaining X width part.
As shown in the figure and the sectional view taken along the line n-I in FIG. 1, it is folded in half.

For this purpose, it is necessary to provide the folding surface of the first folding mechanism 4 so as to obliquely intersect the direction of the tension mechanism 3. By determining this, tensile tension is applied to the continuous form paper A while maintaining balance with the twist of the supplied continuous form paper A.

The folding surface of the first folding mechanism 4 is provided at a position that intersects the guide member 2 at a substantially right angle, and furthermore, the entire tension mechanism 3 is disposed on the folding surface of the first folding mechanism 4. It is fixed on the base frame of the folding device 1 so that its tilt position can be adjusted in a plane.

Further, the tension mechanism 3 is composed of a tension guide 3' that guides the intermediate portion of the continuous form paper A being passed over it toward the first folding mechanism 4 while twisting it in one direction. As shown in Fig. 1, the axis of the tension guide 3' is aligned along an arcuate guide groove so that one side of the tension guide 3' can be fixed in a horizontally and vertically adjustable position while keeping it parallel to the other. After the movement is adjusted, it is fixed at the adjusted position using a set screw.

Therefore, the tension guide 3' is the tension mechanism 3.
Due to the overall planar movement and the horizontal and vertical movement of the tension guide 3' itself, its inclination position is adjustable and fixed to the three-dimensional deflection of the planar angle and the vertical angle. When the sheet A is guided while being twisted in half in the flow direction, the tensile tension applied to the sheet A by the tension guide 3' will cause the flow of the sheet A to change even if the folding widths of the sheet A are different on the left and right sides. tension guide 3 in the direction i.e. in FIG.

Further, as shown in Fig. 1, the tension mechanism 3 is provided with a tension brush 3'' in a position parallel to the tension guide 3'. A brush that comes into sliding contact with the back side of the paper A is flocked to the brush shaft, and this brush can apply an appropriate resistance to the paper A passing through the tension guide 3'.

Since the continuous form paper folding device of the present invention has the above-described configuration, the continuous form paper A folded in a zigzag manner is folded from the parallel guide member 2 in a direction substantially perpendicular thereto. The middle part of the paper A is twisted in one direction toward the folding mechanism 4 by the tension mechanism 3, which is installed at an appropriate inclination position between the paper A and the mechanism 4, so that the width X part of the paper A is folded in half. When the middle part of the paper A is guided while being twisted in half in the flow direction, the tension guide 3' guides the paper A even if the folding width of the paper A is different on the left and right sides. It is possible to make the tensile tension applied to each part of the paper A uniform in the flow direction of the paper A.

Furthermore, the continuous form sheet A that has come out of the folding mechanism 4 is folded in half, and the remaining portion of the width of X is folded in half again in the opposite direction to the previous folding, and is guided to the pasting and cutting device 6. Since an S-shaped or three-shaped three-fold is completed as a whole, the folding by twisting of the paper A is performed smoothly at any point, and the tension mechanism 3 intervenes so that the guide member 2 and the folding mechanism 4 and The distance between the folding mechanism 4 and the bonding/cutting device 6 can be shortened, and the device can be made smaller.

The pasting/cutting device 6 pastes the folded continuous form sheets A to each other using an adhesive surface provided to the sheets in advance, and then forcibly pulls them in the longitudinal direction to separate them at each horizontal perforation a. This is to create a single sealed form.
