Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an improver for adhesion between coating film layers, which exhibits an improved effect on adhesion between said layers in a small amount, and does not exert a bad influence on paints and film performance, containing a specified amphoteric ionic compd. as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: An improver for adhesion between coating film layers, contains an amphoteric ionic compd. of the formula (wherein R' is an 8W40C alkyl, aralkyl which may be substituted with OH group; R2, R3 are each H, a 1W20C alkyl, aralkyl; R4 is a 1W6C alkylene; A is COO or, So3 group) such as N-octylglycine or 6-(N,N-dieicosyl-N-methylamino)-hexanoic acid-(1) as an active component. When the same or different paints are coated one over another, delamination in a poorly coated area after overcoating is prevented during both coating. When this compd. is added in an amount of 0.001W5% based on the total weight of a paint compsn., the compd. exhibits an excellent effect.
