Abstract
PURPOSE:To repress the erosion to be caused in an agitating body and to recover a larger amount of copper contents, by feeding and exhausting cooling air into and from an internal cavity of an agitating device and a driving device of a reducing refining furnace. CONSTITUTION:At an agitating device for agitating a hot molten body in a reducing refining furnace; a cavity is formed in the insides of an agitating body 1 having a rotating shaft 5 and an agitating blade 3 and of a driving device 7 and 9 to be inserted an air feeding pipe 11, to feed or exhaust cooling air into or from the cavity. Thereupon, the erosive action at the immersed part with molten metal is considerably repressed, which makes the life of the furnace longer; and charging quantity of the reducing agent, and the recovering quantity of the copper contents is increased; those are profitable for saving the resources.
