Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce the titled material continuously for a long time without causing melt-sticking to a refractory of the inner wall of a kiln, by crushing, mixing, granulating and then prehardening respective ingredients and finally calcining them in the rotary kiln after adjusting their grain sizes.
CONSTITUTION: After respective ingredients are crushed, mixed and granulated, these materials are preheated at the temperature, above the lowest Tamman temperature among that of the materials and ≤900°C, to harden them. The hardened materials are charged into a rotary kiln after adjusting their grain sizes and calcined so that the amount of calcined materials in a calcining zone in the kiln having ≤3mmϕ particle size are regulated to ≤4wt% of the total amount of the calcined materials. Thus synthetic slag making material for steel making is produced, which containes in weight %, 50W70% CaO, 10W40% CaF2, and 10W30% Al2O3 or 3W5% ≥1 kind of Fe2O3, SiO2, Na2O or both.
