Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of chattering when cutting a turbine blade, by turning a work around an axial line while axially applying tensile force and machining the turbine blade with a cutting tool. CONSTITUTION:A work W is mounted between a fixing tool 4 and a mounting tool at a tail stock side, rotated by synchronously rotating rotary driving parts 2, 15 and profiling machined by a cutting tool. Tensile force is axially applied to the work W by a tensioning metal tool 35 and arranged in such a manner that the tensile force is fully applied to the work W against resilience of an urging member 21 for a center piece 7. In this way, chattering at cutting work can be prevented without the necessity for using any further supporting member for the work W.
