Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power of a compressor at its no load operation, by preventing a suction side vacuum in the compressor and early decreasing its delivery side pressure, that is, by feeding air in an oil separator tank to the secondary side of a suction valve when the screw compressor is operated at no load. CONSTITUTION:Pressure in a delivery pipe 6 rises at no load operation of a compressor, and is detected by a pressure switch 10 to operate a three-way solenoid valve 11, then the primary side 16 of a suction valve 3 is shut off from its secondary side 17, thus the secondary side of the suction valve 3 tends to be a vacuum. At this time, because an automatic relief valve 13 is opened by compressed air from the three-way solenoid valve 11, compressed air in an oil separator tank 5 passes through a pipe 15 and is fed to the secondary side 17 of the suction valve 3. As a result, the secondary side 17 is prevented from generating a vacuum, simultaneously delivery side pressure of the compressor 1 can be also decreased, in this way, power can be early and surely reduced for the compressor 1 at its no load operation.
