Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a heat shrinkable tube made of fluororubber as the main component by a method in which a fluororubber mixed with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is bridged and then expanded into a tubular form. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of 100wt% a fluororubber (e.g., Viton B by Du pont) and 10-50wt% ethylene-vinyl copolymer containing 10-80wt% vinyl acetate is molded into a tubular form, bridged, and then expanded to obtain a heat shrinkable tube. The tube thus obtained is used suitably for the reconnection of joints of communication cables or power cables or for preventing the corrosion of steel pipes, etc.
