Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a constantly correct automatic chemical analysis with a chemical analytical instrument based on the measurement of initial rate of reaction, by performing the measurement after the quality of reagents is evalnated by a blank test.
CONSTITUTION: An analytical instrument, where an annular table 1, on which plural (for example, twelve) measuring pipes C are arranged, is driven intermittently, and where the change in light transmittance due to the reaction of the sample with the reagent is measured at a measuring point on a line connecting a light source 4 and a photodetector 5 after feeding the first reagent and the second reagent respectively through feeding pipes 2 and 3, the measured value being output through a amplifier 7, a detecting circuit 8 for light trasmittance, and a decision circuit 9, is operated with water in place of a sample to obtain a value decided by the decision circuit 9. Correct measured value is given constantly by the measurement of a sample to be tested only when said obtained value is normal.
